Veteran Employment and Training Services
CareerSource Flagler Volusia works to help veterans acquire job search skills needed to obtain employment. Veterans can work with fully trained and specialized staff at any of our career centers to find jobs, acquire skills, training, plan a career, attend workshops and take advantage of many other resources. Our specialists are skilled at converting military job skills to civilian terms and have information about federal contractors and other employers committed to hiring veterans.
Priority of Service for our Servicemen and Women
We provide Priority of Service to all veteran customers. Priority of Service means the right of eligible veterans and covered persons to take precedence over eligible non-covered persons for the receipt of employment, training, and placement services in all CareerSource Flagler Volusia programs funded directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the Department of Labor.

Florida’s Veteran’s Program Portal This web portal is a gateway to information and resource links that will assist veterans, veterans’ families and employers in accomplishing their employment goals.
Individual Employment Plan
www.MyNextMove.org/vets On My Next Move for Veterans,you find a simple and quick search engine where you can enter prior military experience (branch of service and military occupation code or title) and link to the information needed to explore information on civilian careers and related training. There is information on writing resumes that highlight related civilian skills. In addition, My Next Move for Veterans contains a link to an online assessment, the O*NET Interest Profiler, which provides results comparable to the Strong Interest Inventory being used in the new Transition Assistance Program (TAP). Veterans who have not received an interest assessment as part of TAP can access and take this interest assessment online from a link in the lower right-hand corner of My Next Move for Veterans or directly at: http://www.mynextmove.org/explore/ip.
